Jay graduated with a Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland in 2008 and brings deep expertise in development, project, and asset management.
He began his career at KordaMentha (now Calibre Partners) in Auckland, managing asset disposals through receiverships across a diverse range of property types in New Zealand — including residential subdivisions, farms, apartment buildings, and offshore resorts.
In 2014, Jay joined Darby Partners in Queenstown, working on several projects such as Jacks Point, Wyuna Preserve, Amisfield Winery, and Glendhu Bay.
Today, at Double Cone, Jay leads development management, and asset management services across a range of property types. His work spans lease negotiations, site searches, advisory work on accommodation business, and independent project management services for lenders.

Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from the University of Auckland in 2011 and brings extensive experience across the public and private sectors.
He began his career at Beca in Auckland, working on subdivision infrastructure, roading, and public utilities. In 2016, Richard established and led a satellite office for AR Associates in Queenstown, delivering engineering solutions for a wide range of clients. His work included public sector projects for Queenstown Lakes District Council, Southland District Council, and Invercargill City Council, as well as private sector services for organisations such as Classic Builders, Darby Partners, Universal Developments, and Peninsula Hill.
In 2021, Richard joined Falconer Group, taking on development and project management roles delivering both infrastructure and residential dwellings across the Jacks Point Village development and Hanley Farm.
Today, at Double Cone, Richard leads the engineering design and project management of subdivision projects, offering technically focused project management services for developments ranging from small (2 lot) to large-scale (200+ lots). He also continues to support the Queenstown Lakes District Council through consultancy work within their infrastructure team.

Five Mile Villas, Frankton.
This is a recent project comprising 226 dwellings, Double Cone project managed the civil infrastructure delivery for Gibbons & Co’s Five Mile Villas development in Queenstown. Working alongside the engineer and civil contractor, we drove the construction program to deliver results over one month ahead of schedule.
